Carlos is a lawyer from Universidad Externado de Colombia, where he also holds a graduate degree in Intellectual Property and Disruptive Technologies. He further earned a graduate degree in Competition Law from Universidad Javeriana and an LL.M. in Law, Science and Technology from Stanford Law School

His professional practice focuses on complex disputes involving intellectual property, competition law, and emerging technologies. He has represented domestic and international clients in complex cross-border disputes related to these and other adjacent commercial matters. Carlos has developed his practice at leading law firms in Colombia, combining his local dispute resolution expertise with international experience gained during his time at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP in Washington, D.C.

He first joined OlarteMoure in 2019. As a Senior Associate in the firm’s patent litigation team, he participates in the design and execution of litigation strategies for enforcing intellectual property rights, serving clients in telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and other sectors. Carlos is admitted to practice law in Colombia and is currently in the process of admission to the New York State Bar.
