Topics subject to consultation include the use of authentication technologies—such as biometrics—along with their effectiveness and reliability, the secure processing of personal data, verification alternatives, technical standards, and international best practices. Participation is open to individuals, organizations, financial institutions, telecommunications and information operators, biometric operators, the academic community, and civil society representatives.
Interested parties may submit their contributions until September 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The SIC presents this initiative as an opportunity to gather experiences and proposals that can contribute to the development of identity validation mechanisms. Participation may help promote solutions that combine security and reliability with appropriate protection of personal data. The consultation therefore brings together different perspectives to strengthen authentication and verification practices.
