BRI in Latin America

President Xi of China and President Boluarte of Peru officially opened the most important logistics hub in the Americas, located in the city of Chancay, Peru. The Chancay Port is the most important and tangible result of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Latin America. We agree with the assessment that the new port will reduce transportation time between Shanghai and Peru from 45 to 23 days. Thus, it will facilitate and increase commerce, investment, technology transfer, and intellectual property development by positively impacting the supply chain and collaboration between China and Latin America.
