Luciana is a lawyer from Universidad EAFIT (Medellín, Colombia) and holds an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London. During her studies, she joined OlarteMoure as an intern in the Innovation, Protection and Transfer (IP&T) area. Subsequently, she completed a secondment at Grupo Nutresa, one of Colombia’s leading food companies, where she advised on all aspects of intellectual property. After this experience, Luciana officially joined OlarteMoure’s Trademark team.

Her practice focuses on the administrative prosecution of trademarks at national and international level, including the Madrid Protocol, as well as advising on the management of trademark portfolios on a global scale, with an outstanding commitment to providing high quality services. Luciana also specialises in managing and advising on complex trademark matters spanning various areas of intellectual property. In 2022, Luciana was appointed as trademark team leader and in 2024 as coordinator. Her role involves reviewing and coordinating various client matters, managing the trademark portfolios of national and international clients from different industries, coordinating multi-jurisdictional trademark strategies, conducting background searches and legal analysis, and drafting briefs filed with the Colombian Trademark Office (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio).

She is currently an active member of the Newsletter Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and of the International Trademark Law and Practice Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
