Eddie received his mechanical engineering degree from the National University of Colombia (Medellin, Colombia) in 2008. Subsequently, he obtained a degree as a specialist in Technological Innovation Management from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellín, Colombia), in 2014. In 2021, he received his law degree from the Institución Universitaria Politécnico Gran Colombiano (Medellín, Colombia).

He worked in the design and assembly of equipment for the mining and agro-industrial sector, the management of physical infrastructure, electrical networks, equipment and gas networks for laboratories, and the design of mechanical power transmission systems. In addition, in 2010 he joined the Technology Management Unit of the National University of Colombia (Medellin, Colombia) where he participated in different processes of intellectual property management: identification, protection, and monetisation.

In addition, he was able to access different training scenarios in intellectual property and technology management, with Colombian and international experts. In 2013, he joined OlarteMoure as an associate technician participating in patentability analysis, drafting and processing of patents. Subsequently, in 2016 he took over the coordination of the Strategic Intelligence area and in 2024 he was appointed director of the same area.
