Daniel obtained his degree in Industrial Microbiology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia) in 2011. Subsequently, he obtained his Master of Science – Microbiology degree from the National University of Colombia in 2016.

In 2009, he did his university internship at the Colombian Centre for Genomics and Bioinformatics of Extreme Environments – GEBIX, with the Javeriana University group. In 2013, he joined the bioprocesses and bioprospecting group of the Institute of Biotechnology of the National University of Colombia (IBUN) as a researcher, where he collaborated in research projects aimed at the sustainable use of microbial biodiversity and the development of the Colombian biotechnology industry. Daniel has been part of the OlarteMoure team since October 2019, working as a technical associate in the patent area.
