Beatriz Eugenia Morales Lara received her law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia in 2008. In 2010 she graduated from the Master in International Business Law at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. That same year, she participated in a summer course on Private International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law (The Hague, The Netherlands). Subsequently, in 2012 she was a fellow of WIPO and the University of Turin-Italy where she completed an LL.M. in Intellectual Property.
She started her professional career in the firm Pinzón Pinzón & Asociados as a junior lawyer in charge of the commercial management of the clients under her responsibility. Later, during her LL.M. in Madrid, Spain, she did an internship in the area of foreign trademarks in the firm Elzaburu. Upon her return from Spain, she joined the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce in 2011, where she held positions in the areas of registration, form study and oppositions. In 2014 she joined the firm Clarke, Modet & Co holding the position of Senior Trademark Attorney and then she was the Head of Business Development. Currently she is the Manager of OlarteMoure’s Caribbean office in Barranquilla, managing the portfolios of local clients.
