Adrián Santamaría Moreno is an Electronic Engineer who graduated from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) in Medellín, Colombia. He holds a specialization in Innovation Management and a master’s studies in Technology Management from the same institution. His academic career includes roles as a university professor, imparting knowledge in areas such as electronics, systems and signals, and strategic innovation management. Additionally, he was the director of a research group in microelectronics and actively participated in automation and control projects. In his professional career, Adrián has been a guest speaker for leading entities in Colombia and renowned universities such as EAFIT, CES, and the University of Antioquia, among others. He has participated in advanced international training at institutions such as IMPI in Mexico, INPI in Brazil, OEPM in Spain, and OHIM in the European Union, strengthening his expertise in intellectual property. He has also worked in patent and intellectual property training for Ecuadorian universities and institutions such as CEDIA (Corporación Ecuatoriana para el Desarrollo de la Investigación y la Academia), Universidad Católica de Cuenca, and Universidad Politécnica Salesiana del Ecuador. In 2024, he was invited as a facilitator in the summer course on intellectual property by the World Intellectual Property Organization and Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla. Currently, Adrián serves as Patents Project Manager at OlarteMoure, where he has worked for eleven years in the patent area. In this position, he coordinates patent projects and offers consulting services, promoting innovation and intellectual property protection. His expertise in technology management has made him a national and international reference, being invited by universities both in Colombia and abroad to share his knowledge in specialized courses.
