After months of litigation in various jurisdictions, including Colombia, Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Unified Patent Court, Ericsson and the Lenovo Group have reached a partial agreement with the purpose of signing a global cross-licensing patent agreement between the parties.
As a result of the agreement, the two companies will submit the license-related dispute to arbitration, and all ongoing lawsuits between the parties will be terminated. According to a press release from Ericsson, the financial implications of the agreement are expected to be reflected from the second quarter of 2025.
