On April 24, 2025, the Eastern Antioquia Chamber of Commerce will host the forum “Denomination of Origin: El Carmen de Viboral Ceramics”. The event seeks to promote dialogue around the legal protection, cultural relevance, and commercial value of this artisanal tradition, which is one of the crafts in Colombia recognized with Denomination of Origin status.
The forum will bring together artisans, experts, and government representatives to discuss the role of Denomination of Origin in preserving intangible cultural heritage and supporting local economies.
The initiative reaffirms the importance of legal tools such as Denomination of Origin in strengthening regional identity, protecting traditional knowledge, and boosting the visibility and competitiveness of artisan communities.
