The pencil continue to evolve into the method of two wooden parts glued together with a graphite center, which is the method we still use today.

Changing the temprature would affect the hardness of the pencil, and is the method still used today to vary the Hs and Bs in pencils, which mean “Hard” and “Black”.

The pencil has continue evolving into different and more modern versions, including technological and digital pencils. Today we would like to celebrate pencils sharing a couple of patents:

This is a special pen and pencil holder. It has two parts that can turn in opposite directions. Inside, there’s a cradle that holds the pen and pencil. The pen and pencil can slide up and down separately. When you turn the top part of the holder, it makes the pen or pencil come out for writing. There’s also a button that helps to push the pencil part out when you want to use it.

This is a special pen that works with electronic devices. It has a shell, a cap, a button, and two modules inside: one for electronic writing and one for writing on paper. The cap also has an eraser. You can use the electronic module to write on a screen and the paper module to write on paper. You can even erase what you wrote on the screen directly with the eraser. Plus, there’s a button to change the color and thickness of what you write electronically.
