The White House presented the “AI Action Plan,” a national strategy that establishes more than 90 measures to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in the United States. Promoted by the Trump administration, the plan seeks to consolidate the country’s global leadership in AI through actions such as removing regulatory barriers, strengthening digital infrastructure, promoting open standards, and increasing technology exports.
In addition, it proposes the creation of international alliances and economic incentives for innovation. However, it has generated controversy due to its emphasis on deregulation, the weakening of ethical oversight frameworks, and the lack of commitment to principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Critics warn that the exclusion of these approaches in the AI models used by the government may accentuate biases and social risks.
The plan reflects a vision oriented toward economic growth, but with gaps in responsible governance.
