The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation announced the opening of a new call for Tax Benefits for investment in R&D+i projects, within the framework of the Reindustrialization Policy and the 2022–2026 National Development Plan. This initiative seeks to encourage private investment in research, development, and innovation, strengthening the country’s productivity and promoting solutions based on scientific and technological knowledge.
Companies will be able to submit their projects from August 8 to September 10, 2025, and access incentives such as a 50% tax credit or a 30% tax deduction on qualified investments. The call is aimed at companies of all sizes domiciled in Colombia, with a valid commercial registration, income tax payment, and projects endorsed by an actor recognized by MinCiencias. Through this strategy, the National Government seeks to double R&D investment as a percentage of GDP and contribute to key sectors such as energy transition, agribusiness, health, and territorial development.
