Colombia: Colombian Trademark Office (SIC) grants protection to color trademark for the first time

On 20 February 2019 the SIC stated that NESTLÉ’s brand “VERDE PANTONE 361C”, jointly used with the wordmark “MILO”, had allegedly been infringed.

The case has important relevance given the scope of non traditional color trademarks in the country will be discussed.
