OlarteMoure and the Colombia DeepTech Alliance participated in the launch of BioSilk Road in Shanghai, as part of the Second China-Latin American Entrepreneurs and Startups Summit, represented by Juan David Martínez, Head of Investment Affairs at OlarteMoure.
The Summit has brought together more than 50 startups and industry representatives from China and several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Colombia. Participants in this edition represent a wide range of sectors, with a strong presence of initiatives related to DeepTech, technological innovation, life sciences, and health sciences, among others.
Collectively, they work to establish BioSilk Road, a nascent technology-transfer platform seeking to connect China with international innovation ecosystems and create new opportunities for DeepTech startups to access technologies, partners, investment and markets.
For Colombia, the initiative represents an emerging pathway to strengthen China–Latin America technology transfer, co-development and commercialization of science-based technologies.
