Through a recent decision, the Colombian competition authority amended the administrative fees applicable to the review of economic transactions subject to its oversight, increasing them by 5.11% compared to 2025, as follows:
The fee for the authorization procedure of Business Integrations – Notification increased from COP 3,596,000 to COP 3,779,755.
Likewise, the fee for the preliminary review of a Phase I Pre-evaluation request increased from COP 19,491,650 to COP 20,487,673.
Additionally, during the fiscal year prior to the transaction, the parties had revenues or assets equal to or exceeding three (3) times the thresholds set forth in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 9 of Law 1340 of 2009, the Phase II Pre-evaluation fee for 2026 amounts to COP 53,930,784, compared to COP 51,308,900 in 2025. However, where revenues or assets represented between two (2) and three (3) times the thresholds, the applicable fee increased from COP 43,608,650 to COP 45,837,052.
Finally, where revenues correspond to an amount equal to or up to two (2) below the thresholds, the fee was set at COP 37,743,371 for 2026, compared to COP 35,908,450 in 2025.
