The Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce and China’s State Administration for Market Regulation signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in the regulation, supervision, and promotion of product quality and safety in both markets. This agreement, framed within the consolidation of the silk Road Initiative, aims to foster safer, more innovative, and sustainable trade, while integrating both economies into global value chains.
During the signing, Superintendent Cielo Rusinque emphasized that the memorandum represents the firm commitment of both nations to work together in strategic areas such as competition, intellectual property, consumer protection, and legal metrology. She also highlighted that this cooperation will help build an interconnected market based on trust and knowledge exchange, reinforcing institutional and commercial ties between Colombia and China.
