Maria A. Pava is a distinguished lawyer with a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. She further enhanced her expertise by earning a Master’s in Intellectual Property from the University of Alicante in Spain in 2013. Additionally, she has completed several specialized courses, including Legal English at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and an advanced course on Intellectual Property Management from WIPO. With over 15 years of experience in Intellectual Property, Maria A. has amassed extensive knowledge through diverse roles. She has served as legal counsel at law firms in Colombia and Spain, including Elzaburu, worked as a trademark examiner at the Colombian Trademark Office (SIC), and provided IP advisory services to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her expertise has been recognized by various specialized publications such as Leaders League, Legal500, IP Stars, and WTR1000 in recent rankings. In 2017, Maria A. joined OlarteMoure as Trademark Coordinator. Her exceptional performance led to her promotion to Trademark Director in 2020, and in 2023, she became a partner of the firm, continuing to serve as Director of the Trademark area.
