She has expertise in negotiation, trade agreements related to intellectual property, relationships with national and international organizations, aspects of intellectual property linked to trade and public health, as well as in the sanitary admission processes for Colombian products in other markets. Her professional experience includes serving as the head of International Affairs at the National Institute for Drug and Food Surveillance (Invima); advisor on intellectual property issues at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism; and head of Training, Research, and Development at the National Copyright Directorate. She is currently a lecturer on the elective course on Intellectual Property and Public Health.
Her most recent experience in the public sector was at the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, where she served as an advisor to the Superintendent on industrial property and international matters. She also temporarily held the positions of head of the Legal Office, Secretary General, and deputy head for the Control and Verification of Technical Regulations and Legal Metrology. Currently, she works independently on projects related to intellectual property publications for entrepreneurs, regulatory impact analysis in the health sector, and consulting on intellectual property and health issues.
