Juan is a Telecommunications Engineer graduated in 2010 from Don Bosco University in El Salvador, and later, in 2022, he obtained a master’s degree in project management at the University of Murcia (Spain). Prior to joining OlarteMoure, Juan worked at Claro El Salvador from 2007 to 2019, where he held the position of Mobile Network Engineer.

His experience includes more than 12 years of work designing and implementing action plans to ensure continuous improvement of quality of service indicators, coverage and capacity of 2G/3G/4G mobile networks, according to standards defined by the standardisation organisation and aligned to government requirements, development and implementation of frequency plans, physical and logical parameterisation of mobile network elements, field testing, post-processing, initial configuration of equipment and scaling of resources. Additionally, Juan has experience in 4G and 5G Standard Essential Patent (SEP) litigation, patentability search, and patent drafting processes of new inventions related to telecommunications, electronics and other engineering fields, and performing activities related to patent prosecution in different jurisdictions.

In 2020 he joined OlarteMoure as an Associate Technician in the Patent Area and since then his IP practice focuses on patent search, drafting and prosecution of new technology patents, and technical support in litigation campaigns.
