José María graduated with a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where he specialized in international commercial law and tort law, developing a particular interest in intellectual property.

In 2023, he began his professional career at OlarteMoure as a Trademark student and currently works as an Associate. His practice focuses on managing trademark portfolios both nationally and internationally. He specializes in drafting legal opposition briefs, opposition responses, replies, and appeals, as well as filing and responding to cancellation actions. Additionally, he conducts trademark background searches, trademark due diligence, and designs comprehensive trademark protection and defense strategies.
