Carolina received her degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the National University of Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia) in 2002. She then obtained the title as a Specialist in Cosmetic Science and Technology, also at the National University of Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia) completing her studies in 2006. In 2018, she earned a certification as a Consultant in Safety Evaluation of Cosmetic Products.

Her professional career has been focused on the areas of Research and Development, Quality Management (she is a certified auditor in ISO 9001, GLP, and ISO 22716), and Regulatory Affairs, working with diverse health products categories. Carolina has held various positions in national and multinational, pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, as well as in independent consulting. For over six years, Carolina was a part-time professor at the National University of Colombia, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Since February 2021, Carolina has worked at OlarteMoure as a Technical Associate in the Regulatory Affairs area. In this role, she supports regulatory requirements for domestic and foreign clients, across a range of products, including medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, household cleaning and hygiene products, foods, dietary supplements, and veterinary medicines. In January 2025, Carolina was promoted to Lead Regulatory Affairs Associate, where she continues to apply her expertise and knowledge to benefit the firm and its clients.
