After reviewing documents submitted by DISNEY COMPANY COLOMBIA S.A and FOX CHANNELS COLOMBIA LTDA,\u00a0the national authority for Competition (SIC) decided to authorize the merger, requested by DISNEY and FOX in Colombia.<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n

The authority was able to determine that: i) the structure of the 8 markets relevant to the operation will not suffer substantial changes, given the merging agents will remain with a market share of less than 20%; and, ii) the industry that might be affected is formed by large companies, with enough market power to avoid behaviors that would affect free competition and infringe upon unfair competition.<\/p>\n

After this decision, DISNEY COMPANY COLOMBIA S.A will become the new market leader in film production and distribution, with a 28% share in sales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
