Superintendence of Industry and Commerce\u00a0proposed a bill to extend the validity of Resolution 16379 of June 18 2003<\/a>, whereby the technical regulations applicable to the metrological control of content in pre-packaged products was established. \u00a0The extension will be in effect while the technical regulation is updated, in order to guarantee consumers rights.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the Regulatory Authority determined that it was necessary to update the metrological control regulations of pre-packaged products in order to comply with International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML in Spanish) standards.<\/p>\n

The extension of the validity of Resolution 16379 of 2003was set until 31 December 2019.<\/p>\n
