On 8 May 2018, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI in Portuguese), issued\u00a0Resolution 218\/2018<\/a>, through which started Stage II of the Patent Prosecution Highway Agreement signed with the USPTO.<\/p>\n

The main difference of the new stage is the expansion of industrial areas accepted in the program, which is now extensible to patent applications related to information technology, hydrocarbons, gas and petrochemicals.<\/p>\n

The second phase will run from 10 May 2018 to 30 April 2020, or until 200 patent applications are accepted as PPH beneficiaries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
