On 12 February 2018,\u00a0a New York Federal Judge issued a judgment in favor of 21 graffiti artists who had denounced a property owner located in Queens for erasing their works and tearing down the 5Pointz building<\/a>\u00a0(demolished 4 years ago to build a residential building), which since 1993 has been used by street performers as mural of their works.<\/p>\n

The sentence, bases its ruling on the Law of Rights of Visual Artists of 1990, which prevents the intentional destruction of artworks with public recognition.\u00a0 The building owner-Jerry Wolkoff-, will have to pay USD$ 6.7 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
