{"id":6375,"date":"2017-04-27T22:22:03","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T22:22:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.olartemoure.com\/web\/?p=6375\/"},"modified":"2017-04-27T22:22:03","modified_gmt":"2017-04-27T22:22:03","slug":"om-weekly-digest-02-12-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olartemoure.com\/en\/om-weekly-digest-02-12-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"OM Weekly Digest (02-12-2016)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.olartemoure.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/OM-WD-English-title.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5130 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.olartemoure.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/OM-WD-English-title.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"108\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>COLOMBIA | Patents, Intellectual Property, Regulatory | Government\u00a0of Colombia issues Regulation on medicines subject to a Declaration of Public Interest<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 22 november 2016, the Ministry of Health of Colombia through the\u00a0National Pharmaceutical Price Commission (NPPC) issued <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.minsalud.gov.co\/sites\/rid\/Lists\/BibliotecaDigital\/RIDE\/VS\/MET\/circular-03-de-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Resolution (Circular) 3 of 2016<\/a><\/span>, by means of which it regulates the price of medicines that have been subject of a Declaration of Public Interest (DPI).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0Resolution (Circular) 3 of 2016 turned away from the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.minsalud.gov.co\/sites\/rid\/Lists\/BibliotecaDigital\/RIDE\/VS\/MET\/concepto-abogacia-circular-03-de-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opinion issued by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC)<\/a><\/span> in the framework of the competition advocacy procedure, stipulating in the Resolution that the medicines subject to price control must have as maximum sales value, the lowest price of all competitors in the countries of reference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the same time, the NPPC published the draft of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.minsalud.gov.co\/sites\/rid\/Lists\/BibliotecaDigital\/RIDE\/VS\/MET\/borrador-metodologia-regular-precios-medicamentos-situaciones-declaracion-interes-publico.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Resolution (Circular) 4 of 2016<\/a><\/span>, applying Resolution (Circular) 3 of 2016 to Glivec. \u00a0As for the draft of Resolution (Circular) 4, there is a deadline for comments until 5 December 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a CA.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>LATIN AMERICA\u00a0| Patents\u00a0| Latin American Patent Offices updated\u00a0their information in the PCT Applicant&#8217;s Guide<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 25 November 2016, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/us8.campaign-archive2.com\/?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&amp;id=7aac1a60c1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">informed which countries updated their information<\/a><\/span> in the PCT Applicant&#8217;s Guide. \u00a0The next Latin American Patent Offices updated their information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Information as\u00a0Receiving Offices (Annex\u00a0C): Belize, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and\u00a0Trinidad &amp;\u00a0Tobago.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Information\u00a0as International Searching Authorities\u00a0-ISA- (Annex D): Brasil and Chile.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Information as International Preliminary Examining Authorities\u00a0-IPEA- (Annex E): Chile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;
