Drug Administration (FDA)\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fda.gov\/Food\/GuidanceRegulation\/GuidanceDocumentsRegulatoryInformation\/LabelingNutrition\/ucm385663.htm#highlights\">modified the nutritional facts label guidelines<\/a><\/span>\u00a0for packaged foods in order to reflect current scientific data and information for easier understanding for consumers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its modification involves\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fda.gov\/downloads\/Food\/GuidanceRegulation\/GuidanceDocumentsRegulatoryInformation\/LabelingNutrition\/UCM501646.pdf\">changes<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in the information to be included on the labels such as calories value, and updates of base portions and nutrition values.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The deadline for food manufactures to update the nutritional facts label of its products expires on July 26, 2018; however, producers with annual food sales lower than 10 USD million dollars will have an additional year from that date to comply with the new regulation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>COLOMBIA\u00a0| Unfair Competition, Copyright\u00a0| <u>Issuance of First Instance Ruling On Unfair Competition Lawsuit between Colombian Private Television Channels and Pay Television Distributors<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), the Colombian authority for Antitrust and Intellectual Property matters, issued a first instance decision in the aforementioned lawsuit and ruled in favor of private TV channels Caracol and RCN. \u00a0SIC determined that pay television distributors Telmex, Telef\u00f3nica, DIRECTV and ETB transmitted unauthorized signal retransmission of these channels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, precautionary measures were requested by Caracol and RCN against the above mentioned pay television distributors. \u00a0The SIC granted the precautionary measures and Pay television distributors appealed the decision. \u00a0The Andean Justice Tribunal issued an opinion on this matter. \u00a0This opinion is known as \u201cInterpretacion Prejudicial\u201d in Spanish and is mandatory to be obtained for appeal rulings in unfair competition cases. \u00a0<span style=\"text-align: justify;
