On September 10, the following officials were appointed: Juan Pablo Mateus Bernal as Delegate Superintendant fo Consumer Protection, Edna Roc\u00edo Bonilla Ram\u00edrez as Delegate Superintendent for Consumer Protection; Adolfo Le\u00f3n Castillo Arbel\u00e1ez as Delegate Superintendent for the Control and Verification of Technical Regulations and Legal Metrology; Uriel \u00c1ngel P\u00e9rez M\u00e1rquez as Delegate Superintendent for Jurisdictional Affairs; Alfredo Jos\u00e9 Palencia Hern\u00e1ndez as Director of Habeas Data; and Sergio Mart\u00ednez Santos as Director of Compliance.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Council of State is set to review a legal challenge against Decree 1225 of August 18, 2026, which appointed Mar\u00eda Roc\u00edo Cort\u00e9s Vargas as Superintendent of Industry and Commerce. Finally, Resolution 75972 of September 23, 2026, updated industrial property fees for 2027 reflecting a general increase of 6.96% effective January 1, 2027. These fees cover procedures related to patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, trade names, designations of origin, oppositions, renewals, licenses, and other industrial property services.
