These changes shift a greater burden of proof onto applicants, aiming to curb abusive cancellation filings and protect legitimate trademark holders.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the update promote fairness and aims to reduce malicious interference, ensuring that trademarks are only challenged when genuinely unused.
