On 24 October, the Colombian Unfair Competition and Antitrust Office (SIC) formally approved Grupo Nutresa and Alpina\u00a0to acquire<\/a>\u00a070% of Atlantic FS S.A.S. shares, a protein and other premium product import and distribution company in the hotel, restaurant and casino sector as part of the institutional food and beverage channel.<\/p>\n

The operation was authorized by the SIC not subject to any conditions considering it does not represent any threat in terms of free competition for the food distribution market in said food and beverage channel. Specifically, Nutresa will take over 51% of the company, while Alpina struck a deal for 19%.<\/p>\n
