The United States Department of the Treasury granted License No. 27<\/a>\u00a0authorizing transactions in connection with patent, trademark, copyright or other form of intellectual property protection in the United States or Venezuela that would otherwise be prohibited by Executive Order (EO) 13692 or EO13850, with their respective modifications.<\/p>\n

This authorization includes the following procedures:<\/p>\n

(1) The filing and prosecution of any application to obtain a patent, trademark, copyright, or another form of intellectual property protection;
\n(2) The receipt of a patent, trademark, copyright or other form of intellectual property protection;
\n(3) The renewal or maintenance of a patent, trademark, copyright or other form of protection of intellectual property;
\n(4) The filing and prosecution of any opposition or infringement procedure with respect to a patent, trademark, copyright or other form of intellectual property protection, or defense against any such procedure.
\n(b) The payment of fees to the United States Government or the Government of Venezuela, and the customary fees and charges to attorneys or representatives within the United States or Venezuela, in relation to transactions authorized in section (1).
