On 13 June 2019,\u00a0the Colombian senate approved a bill aimed at providing employee benefits to Colombian actors<\/a>. Said law looks to formalize the performing arts profession in order to promote and create more employment opportunities for those currently acting or wanting to practice the profession.<\/p>\n

The bill intends to create a performing artist register and imposes an obligation to the state of fostering training and education programs in performing arts.<\/p>\n
